NTLMv2 credential disclosure via unchecked UNC path
Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026
External path control in RapidRAW before 1.6.0 allows remote attackers to disclose NTLMv2 credentials through a crafted preset. RapidRAW passes the preset lutPath value to File::open() in lut_processing.rs without rejecting UNC paths, causing Windows to initiate SMB authentication to the referenced host. Opening the Community tab can fetch such a preset automatically, while importing a shared preset requires user interaction; the outbound exchange exposes the victim account's NTLMv2 challenge-response material.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
