Restricted content disclosure via unapproved tag overrides
Published Jul 22, 2026 · Updated Jul 22, 2026
Improper access control in Articles Anywhere through 18.0.2 and Modules Anywhere through 8.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to expose content. Their content-tag parsers honor author-supplied ignore-access, ignore-state, and property-override values without requiring site-policy approval. Joomla content-author rights are required; crafted tags can render restricted or unpublished articles or modules to visitors who otherwise lack access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
