Process termination via WebKit use-after-free
Published Aug 17, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026
Use-after-free in WebKit in Apple Safari before 26.6.1 and macOS before 26.6.2 allows attackers to crash a process via malicious web content. Apple describes the flaw only as a WebKit use-after-free fixed by improved memory management and does not identify a more specific function, file, or parser that retains a stale reference to freed memory. Reachability requires rendering attacker-controlled web content, and published scoring bounds the impact to unexpected process termination rather than code execution, privilege gain, or data access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
