CVE-2026-64784Network attack vector

Browser crash via WebKit out-of-bounds access

Published Aug 17, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026

Out-of-bounds access in WebKit in Apple Safari before 26.6.1 and macOS before 26.6.2 allows remote attackers to crash Safari via crafted web content. Apple identifies the flaw in WebKit and states that malformed web content can trigger an out-of-bounds access because the engine did not apply sufficient bounds checking to attacker-controlled content. Exploitation requires a target to load malicious web content, and the published impact is limited to an unexpected Safari crash rather than code execution or data exposure.
