Installed-app disclosure via mishandled user preferences
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
A privacy issue in Apple iOS and iPadOS before 27 allows attackers to identify what other apps a user has installed. The affected preference-handling path exposes an installed-app signal to another app, but Apple has not disclosed the responsible component or wrong operation. Exploitation requires code running as an app on the device and is limited to disclosure of application presence; no data access or modification is reported.
