Memory corruption in CoreMedia in Apple operating systems before 27 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code by processing a crafted image. CoreMedia performs an undisclosed unsafe operation while decoding the image; Apple identifies only generic memory corruption and says the vulnerable code was removed. The target must process attacker-controlled image data, after which code can run in the context of the affected CoreMedia consumer.
