CVE-2026-64731

Sandbox escape via insufficient Printing path validation

Published Jul 27, 2026 · Updated Jul 27, 2026

Path traversal in Printing in Apple macOS Sequoia before 15.7.8 and macOS Tahoe before 26.6 allows local users to escape an app sandbox. The Printing component validates paths insufficiently, allowing a malicious app's path handling to cross its sandbox boundary. Execution of a malicious local app is required; Apple has not disclosed the affected path-processing routine or access beyond the sandbox.
