CVE-2026-64720

System termination via kernel race condition

Published Jul 27, 2026 · Updated Jul 27, 2026

Race condition in the kernel of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS before 26.6 allows local users to terminate the system. Apple states that the kernel mishandles shared state during concurrent execution but has not disclosed the affected function or trigger sequence. Exploitation requires an app to execute on the target device, and the documented consequence is a device-level crash rather than code execution or data access.
