Process memory corruption via crafted image
Published Jul 27, 2026 · Updated Jul 27, 2026
Memory corruption in ImageIO across Apple iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS allows attackers to corrupt process memory. ImageIO mishandles attacker-controlled image data during decoding, but Apple has not disclosed the defective operation or memory-safety primitive. A user or application must cause ImageIO to process the crafted image; published evidence establishes process-memory corruption but not code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
