CVE-2026-64676Hinoki check available

Confidential-guest service degradation via ungated ttRPC methods

Published Aug 7, 2026 · Updated Aug 7, 2026

Authorization bypass in Kata Containers before 4.0.0 allows attackers to degrade confidential-guest availability through mem-agent ttRPC. Two mem-agent ttRPC handlers in kata-agent execute memory-management requests without the OPA/Rego AgentPolicy authorization check applied to other agent calls. Exploitation requires a Confidential Containers deployment with mem-agent explicitly enabled; the host can force swap, eviction, or compaction, but cannot disclose memory or execute code.
