Local data disclosure via permissive mmap backing file
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
Information disclosure in Data::Graph::Shared before 0.04 allows local users to read shared-memory IPC data from a backing file. In graph.h, open(path, O_RDWR|O_CREAT, 0666) creates a permissive file and follows or reuses attacker-planted paths because O_NOFOLLOW and O_EXCL are absent. The flaw requires local access and a file-backed segment in a shared directory; no network path, integrity impact, or service interruption is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
