CVE-2026-64549

Kernel memory disclosure via unbounded revision string

Published Jul 27, 2026 · Updated Jul 27, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in the Linux Kernel bpa10x Bluetooth driver allows physically proximate attackers to disclose slab memory via a device reply. bpa10x_setup() passes bytes after the status byte to bt_dev_info() and hci_set_fw_info() as unbounded NUL-terminated strings, so a short or unterminated response walks beyond skb->len. A crafted response from the attached Bluetooth device is required, and the over-read bytes are written to the kernel log and firmware-info debugfs file.
