Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published May 20, 2026 · Updated May 20, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Bigfishgames Syndicate 1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to reset or update plugin settings. The bigfishgames_syndicate_submenu() function processes reset and settings-update requests without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator's browser to submit a forged request, limiting the demonstrated consequence to unauthorized plugin-configuration changes.
