Service interruption via managed-buffer double free
Published Jul 25, 2026 · Updated Jul 25, 2026
A double free in drm/xe/gsc in Linux Kernel allows local users to interrupt service during failed device probing and cleanup. xe_gsc_init_post_hwconfig explicitly unpins a buffer returned by xe_managed_bo_create_pin_map even though a devm cleanup action already owns its release, causing probe unwinding to free it again. Reachability requires the Xe GSC initialization failure path and subsequent devm cleanup; the published assessment reports no confidentiality or integrity impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
