CVE-2026-64506

AP disconnection via malformed AMPDU state handling

Published Jul 25, 2026 · Updated Jul 25, 2026

Denial of service in the Linux Kernel rtw89 Wi-Fi driver 7.1 through 7.1.3 allows physically proximate attackers to disconnect it from an AP. The AMPDU receive-drop state logic mishandles the first malformed aggregate in certain sequence-number ranges and resets status outside pairwise rekey. Exposure requires an rtw89 Wi-Fi device, a crafted radio frame in the triggering range, and busy traffic during rekey; the bounded effect is AP disconnection.
