Local system crash via unchecked control allocation

NULL pointer dereference in the Linux Kernel ALSA ymfpci driver allows local users to crash the system during control creation. The snd_ymfpci_create_spdif_controls function dereferences kctl->id.device without checking whether snd_ctl_new1 returned NULL after an allocation failure. Reachability requires execution of the ymfpci control-creation path and a failed control allocation; the resulting kernel NULL dereference crashes the host.
