CVE-2026-64362

Use-after-free via uncancelled removal work

Published Jul 25, 2026 · Updated Jul 25, 2026

Use-after-free in the lg-g15 HID driver in Linux Kernel allows physically proximate attackers to race unplugging and trigger a freed-state dereference. The report handlers queue g15->work on a backlight-cycle key event, but removal frees devm-managed lg_g15_data without cancelling the work, and the worker later recovers that state through container_of. A G15, G15 v2, or G510 keyboard must be unplugged while the queued work is pending or running; the published record specifies no further consequence.
