Local service interruption via CDNSP memory leak
Published Jul 25, 2026 · Updated Jul 25, 2026
A memory leak in the Linux kernel CDNSP USB driver allows local users to consume kernel memory through allocation failures. In cdnsp_alloc_stream_info(), an error after stream_ctx_array allocation releases the stream rings but omits cdnsp_free_stream_ctx(), leaving the array allocated. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and a later stream-ring allocation or mapping-update failure; repeated failures can interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
