Local kernel code execution via busy URB resubmission
Published Jul 25, 2026 · Updated Jul 25, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in the Linux Kernel digi_acceleport driver allows local users to execute kernel code through an open Digi ttyUSB device. digi_write_inb_command() updates the transfer buffer and resubmits an occupied URB after timeout, while a broken jiffies test expires no-timeout commands immediately. Ordinary permission to open the attached adapter's tty node is required; corruption can disclose kernel memory, overwrite kernel data, panic, or hang the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
