Host crash via unchecked VNCR pseudo-TLB dereference
Published Jul 25, 2026 · Updated Jul 25, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in arm64 KVM nested virtualization allows local users to crash affected Linux Kernel hosts. The kvm_invalidate_vncr_va() path iterates vCPUs and blindly dereferences a missing or invalid VNCR pseudo-TLB when invalidation races with vCPU onlining. Triggering requires low-privileged local or guest OS access to an arm64 KVM host using nested virtualization, and the resulting consequence is a host-kernel crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
