Host denial of service via leaked PFN references
Published Jul 25, 2026 · Updated Jul 25, 2026
Race condition in the Linux Kernel KVM arm64 subsystem allows local users to exhaust host memory through leaked PFN references. When kvm_translate_vncr() races an MMU notifier, its early-return path retains the faulted-in PFN instead of calling kvm_release_faultin_page(). Reachability requires a low-privileged local user and the arm64 nested-virtualization path; repeated races can deplete memory and interrupt the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
