Touch-event misparsing via size-mismatched array indexing
Published Jul 25, 2026 · Updated Jul 25, 2026
Improper array indexing in the Linux Kernel mms114 driver allows physically proximate attackers to misparse MMS134S and MMS136 touch input. __mms114_read_reg() packs six-byte events but accesses touch[index] at the structure's eight-byte stride, so events after the first are read at incorrect offsets. Reachability requires the mms114 driver and an affected controller; the upstream account documents misparsed touch input but no further consequence.
