CVE-2026-64265

Local privilege escalation via dangling FUSE interrupt entry

Published Jul 25, 2026 · Updated Jul 25, 2026

Use-after-free in Linux Kernel FUSE allows local users to elevate privileges or disclose kernel data through interrupted requests. fuse_resend requeues an interrupted request without unlinking intr_entry, so fuse_remove_pending_req frees an entry still reachable by fuse_read_interrupt. Local users controlling a FUSE daemon and client can deterministically trigger a freed-slab write, kernel panic, or request-identifier leak.
