CVE-2026-64241

Kernel panic via stale GPIO interrupt handler

Published Jul 24, 2026 · Updated Jul 24, 2026

Resource-release errors in the Rockchip GPIO driver in affected Linux Kernel releases allow local users to cause a kernel panic. The driver remove path leaves the chained IRQ handler registered and fails to release the debounce clock and linear IRQ domain after teardown. Triggering the panic requires local access, driver removal, and a stray interrupt after teardown; the documented consequence is service interruption without data disclosure or modification.
