CVE-2026-64186

Latent out-of-bounds read via signed offset conversion

Published Jul 19, 2026 · Updated Jul 19, 2026

Integer conversion in Linux Kernel 6.17 through 6.18.33 and 6.19 through 7.0.10 allows local users to create a latent out-of-bounds read. iommu_mmio_write() and iommu_capability_write() parse unsigned input into signed int offsets, causing sufficiently large values to become negative. AMD IOMMU debugfs is root-only by default, while input-length, type-promotion, and show-handler checks prevent the invalid offset from reaching a read.
