Kernel memory corruption via unaligned dma-buf binding
Published Jul 19, 2026 · Updated Jul 19, 2026
Out-of-bounds access in Linux Kernel allows local users to disclose or corrupt kernel memory via malformed dma-buf bindings. net_devmem_bind_dmabuf() divides byte lengths into page-counted arrays without rejecting remainders, permitting one-past tx_vec reads and desynchronized niov indexing. A low-privileged user on a devmem-capable host can trigger TX access without administrative rights; RX requires CAP_NET_ADMIN, and successful access can disclose memory, hijack control flow, crash, or hang the kernel.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
