Local privilege escalation via freed CPU job
Published Jul 19, 2026 · Updated Jul 19, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux Kernel V3D CPU job submission allows local users to corrupt kernel memory through a crafted ioctl. The error path releases cpu_job through v3d_job_cleanup(), then dereferences its query arrays for manual kvfree() operations while leaking syncobj references. Access to an affected Broadcom V3D render node is required; a controlled submission failure can crash the kernel or enable local privilege escalation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
