CVE-2026-64046Network attack vector

Kernel code execution via consecutive scatterlist chains

Published Jul 19, 2026 · Updated Jul 19, 2026

Memory corruption in Linux Kernel affected branches allows remote attackers to execute kernel code through TLS 1.3 kTLS transmission. In tls_push_record in net/tls/tls_sw.c, an end=0 wrapped sk_msg creates consecutive scatterlist chain links that crypto_aead_encrypt treats as data pages. Reachability requires an established TLS 1.3 service using kTLS with sockmap message manipulation; traversal can read or overwrite kernel memory or crash the host.
