Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped API key
Published May 20, 2026 · Updated May 20, 2026
Stored XSS in Anomify AI – Anomaly Detection and Alerting 0.3.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts. The settings handler stores anomify_api_key after sanitize_text_field(), then admin_options.php echoes it into a value attribute without esc_attr(). Administrator-level access is required to store the payload, which runs in the browser of any user who opens the plugin settings page.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
