Unauthenticated file read via stylesheet path traversal
Published May 15, 2026 · Updated May 15, 2026
Path traversal in Carr Communications Inc. Quick Playground 1.3.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to read server files via stylesheet input. The qckply_zip_theme() function appends the user-controlled stylesheet value to the theme root without canonicalizing the result or rejecting traversal sequences, then archives the resolved directory. No authentication is required; the resulting ZIP can expose any server file readable by the WordPress process, including wp-config.php.
