CVE-2026-64018

Memory corruption via unchecked DMA request index

Published Jul 19, 2026 · Updated Jul 19, 2026

Out-of-bounds access in the MANA network driver in the Linux Kernel allows attackers to corrupt memory in confidential VMs via DMA events. The mana_hwc_rx_event_handler() derives rx_req_idx from hardware-modifiable shared WQE memory and indexes reqs[] without checking its bounds. Reachability requires an SEV-SNP or TDX guest and hardware able to alter that shared memory; the resulting corruption can crash the guest.
