Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped contact number
Published May 20, 2026 · Updated May 20, 2026
Stored XSS in General Options 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the Contact Number setting. The ad_contact_number value is sanitized with sanitize_text_field() and then emitted inside a double-quoted value attribute without HTML attribute encoding, so an injected quote closes the attribute. Administrator-level access is required to store the payload, which executes when an administrator opens the plugin settings page.
