Kernel crash via L2CAP channel iterator invalidation
Published Jul 19, 2026 · Updated Jul 19, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux kernel Bluetooth L2CAP handler allows physically proximate attackers to crash the system via crafted BLE traffic. In l2cap_ecred_conn_rsp, deleting a channel whose destination CID is already assigned invalidates the saved list iterator and later dereferences freed channel memory. An attacker needs an established BLE ACL link and reuses a chosen destination CID in a crafted L2CAP ECRED connection response; the result is kernel corruption, an oops, or a panic.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
