Stored XSS via nonce-free settings update
Published May 20, 2026 · Updated May 20, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Word 2 Cash 0.9.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to store JavaScript through an administrator's session. The w2c_admin() settings handler accepts w2c-definitions without nonce verification, stores it raw with update_option(), and echoes it unescaped in a textarea. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to submit a forged request; the payload executes in the WordPress admin panel when the settings page is viewed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
