CVE-2026-63862

IRQ-domain resource leak after failed IRQ lookup

Published Jul 19, 2026 · Updated Jul 19, 2026

Resource leakage in the MediaTek Gen3 PCIe controller driver in Linux Kernel allows attackers to leak IRQ-domain resources during probe. mtk_pcie_setup_irq() creates INTx and MSI IRQ domains before platform_get_irq() fetches the controller IRQ, then returns without destroying those domains when the fetch fails. Published evidence does not establish an attacker-controlled route to the lookup failure or any resulting crash or hang, so the bounded consequence is unreleased kernel resources.
