Remote kernel code execution via premature skb free
Published Jul 19, 2026 · Updated Jul 19, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux kernel Airoha Ethernet driver allows remote attackers to execute code in the kernel via crafted traffic. airoha_dev_xmit() stores the skb on the first descriptor, so completion frees it while later DMA descriptors still reference fragment memory; its final loop iteration also reads uninitialized skb_frag_t metadata. Traffic to or through an Airoha EN7581 WAN or LAN interface is sufficient without authentication or user interaction, enabling kernel memory disclosure or writes, code execution, or a crash or panic.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
