Memory corruption in FFmpeg within affected Red Hat AI products allows remote attackers to crash media-processing applications. The DVD subtitle parser applies a signed, overflowed fragment-reassembly calculation during bounds checking, permitting a heap out-of-bounds write while parsing a malicious MPEG-PS/VOB subtitle stream. Exploitation requires a user or automated workflow to process the file locally or through remote URL ingest; the grounded consequence is an application crash.
