Continued data disclosure via stale LIVE authorization
Published Jul 20, 2026 · Updated Jul 20, 2026
Insufficient session expiration in SurrealDB before 3.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to receive LIVE SELECT notifications after access ends. LIVE SELECT records $auth, $token, $session, and $access at registration, then reuses that snapshot for every later permission evaluation. A prior principal must have permission to register the subscription; revoked, expired, signed-out, or changed sessions retain read-only notifications until the connection closes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
