CVE-2026-63752Network attack vector

Authenticated edge overwrite via RELATE id collision

Published Jul 20, 2026 · Updated Jul 20, 2026

Authorization bypass in SurrealDB before 3.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite protected edge records via RELATE statements. On the create path, a SET id clause can resolve to an existing edge, and the storage layer calls set_record, silently replacing it rather than rejecting the collision. Exploitation requires authentication and CREATE permission on the edge table; it changes stored edge data without the UPDATE permission that protects the target.
