Authenticated field disclosure via raw error operands
Published Jul 20, 2026 · Updated Jul 20, 2026
Information disclosure in SurrealDB before 3.1.0 allows remote authenticated users with UPDATE access to read SELECT-hidden field values. Arithmetic operators and extend place raw hidden-field operands in type-error responses because UPDATE checks evaluate the unreduced record. The caller needs UPDATE access to the target record, and each operation discloses one field value without altering integrity or availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
