Data disclosure via forward array index removal
Published Jul 20, 2026 · Updated Jul 20, 2026
Incorrect authorization in SurrealDB before 3.1.4 allows remote authenticated users to read denied array elements via SELECT queries. In doc/reduce.rs, doc/output.rs, and exec/operators/scan/pipeline.rs, forward removal of denied indexes shifts later array positions and leaves elements unfiltered. Record-scope access to a SELECT-readable table with field.* rules is required; the flaw discloses array values but does not alter data or privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
