Authenticated command execution via unsanitized backup path
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
OS command injection in sysPass 3.0.0 through 3.2.11 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via a crafted backup path. FileBackupService::doBackupFiles() concatenates the configured path into a tar command and passes it to PHP exec() without shell escaping or character validation. Exploitation requires administrator settings access or an administrative API token and runs commands as the web-server process, exposing the password vault and host.
