Credential disclosure via unauthenticated storage gRPC server
Published Oct 6, 2026 · Updated Oct 6, 2026
Missing authentication in Dell Container Storage Modules before 1.18.0 allows remote attackers to read storage administrator credentials via gRPC. The csm-authorization-storage gRPC server does not authenticate callers before granting access to credentials for registered storage arrays; Dell has not identified the affected RPC methods. Exploitation requires network reachability to the affected service, and the credential exposure extends to arrays registered with that deployment.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
