CVE-2026-63667Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Host file disclosure via attachment-name path traversal

Published Aug 17, 2026 · Updated Aug 17, 2026

Path traversal in the ApostropheCMS import-export module before 3.6.2 allows remote authenticated users to read host files. packages/import-export/lib/formats/gzip.js joins untrusted _id, name, and extension values from aposAttachments.json without verifying that the resolved path remains inside the extracted attachments directory. Contributor access and the optional module are required; the target filename must use an allowed extension, and the copied file is exposed at an unauthenticated uploads URL.
