Cross-site scripting via unsanitized modal options
Published May 19, 2026 · Updated May 19, 2026
Cross-site scripting in affected Drupal core releases allows remote attackers to execute script through AJAX modal dialog options. The jQuery integration for AJAX modal dialog boxes fails to sufficiently sanitize certain option values before client-side dialog rendering. Exploitation requires user interaction and can expose or alter data in the affected browser context, with no reported service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
