PDF hash disclosure via unvalidated timestamp endpoint
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Information disclosure in BentoPDF 2.8.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to expose a PDF's SHA-256 digest via a crafted workflow. deserializeWorkflow() assigns the imported Timestamp node's tsaUrl without schema or destination validation, and timestampPdf() sends the digest there in an RFC 3161 request. Exploitation requires a user to import the workflow and run it against a PDF; the digest reveals no contents but identifies known or repeated documents.
