Key compromise via unchecked peer ephemeral value
Published Oct 2, 2026 · Updated Oct 2, 2026
Improper input validation in Bouncy Castle C# .NET before 2.7.0 allows attackers to compromise MTI/A0 key agreement via a crafted peer value. DHAgreement.CalculateAgreement raises the peer-supplied ephemeral value to the local static private key without checking its range or subgroup membership. Only applications that call DHAgreement directly are exposed: an on-path attacker can force a known agreed value, while a malicious peer can recover the static key in groups with enough small factors.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
