CVE-2026-63509Network attack vector

Privilege escalation via relative path traversal

Published Aug 20, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026

Relative path traversal in Microsoft Fabric allows remote authenticated users to elevate privileges over a network. Microsoft has not published the affected Fabric component, traversed path, or incorrect filesystem operation that processes the relative path. A valid Fabric authorization context is required; successful exploitation crosses a security boundary and grants elevated access with confidentiality, integrity, and availability consequences.
