Payroll data disclosure via unscoped record identifiers
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Missing authorization in Horilla HRMS 1.5.0-85 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read other employees' payroll records. The allowances_deductions_tab, view_single_allowance, and view_single_deduction handlers load records selected by supplied identifiers without consistently enforcing ownership or payroll-view permission. Any authenticated employee can substitute those identifiers to disclose salary structures, allowance and deduction amounts, and personal-loan schedules.
