Process-wide prototype pollution via desynchronized table paths

Prototype pollution in BinaryMuse toml-node before 4.1.2 allows remote attackers to corrupt Object.prototype via crafted TOML input. In lib/compiler.js, inconsistent comma- and dot-joined path tracking lets deepRef traverse scalar prototypes and write attacker-controlled keys globally. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled TOML to toml.parse; resulting properties affect the Node.js process and enable crashes, logic or authorization bypass, or code execution only when a suitable gadget exists.
